Low-E Glass For Windows

Solarban®60 is the most efficient Low-E Glass available today.
If you look at the two charts directly below, you will see that in the pyrolytic Low-E all the material that is used to make up the coating is mixed together and applied to the glass at one time. The material in the Solarban®60 is applied in eight different layers. This is called stacking. By stacking the right quantity of material in each layer PPG is able to ensure the maximum heat reflection for thermal efficiency.
The easiest way to describe how Solarban®60 works is that it reflects heat back to its original source. In the winter that means that it reflects 96% of the heat back into the room keeping the glass warm on those cold winter nights. In the summer it keeps out 64% of the heat from the sun. In both cases, this will help to drastically reduce your energy cost. Solarban 60 reflects 84% of the sun's ultraviolet rays that can fade interior colors.
